Sterling Silver Seniors

The Sterling Silver Seniors met for their regular meeting on December 2^nd at 11:00 a.m. We enjoyed ham and all the side dishes to go with it.  There were 28 present including  Pastor Cody.

Our own Chris Bailey entertained us with Christmas songs. Thank you so much Chris for a  wonderful  job. We enjoyed the old and new songs.  Door prizes for everyone present were furnished by Pat Lund and Frances Ragsdale. Bonnie Swanson and Janet Foreman furnished us with red cups and plates. Thanks to all of these.

We voted to give a monetary donation to Lottie Moon. We will have another school supply drive during the month of January for the Orangefield high school. We will be collecting notebook paper and composition books.

Jimmie Lea Simmons told us of a need at the sheriff’s

department in Orange for volunteers to call shut-ins to make sure they are ok. If you are interested in doing this please contact the department.

  Our next meeting will be January 6^th at 11:00 a.m. We are  asking everyone to bring their favorite soup and cornbread or dessert. We look forward to seeing you at this meeting. We will play dominoes after the meeting for those that want to stay. Please join us for fun and fellowship.
